By car
Leave motorway A 5 at Karlsruhe-Durlach junction. Proceed towards city centre (Stadtmitte). Drive straight on for about three kilometres through Durlacher Allee and Kaiserstraße. Where the latter crosses Waldhornstraße, turn right. After 300 metres, turn left in front of the palace into Am Schlossplatz. At the end of that road, turn left into Waldstraße, then right into Hans-Thoma-Straße. After 300 metres, turn left into Moltkestraße. Another kilometre ahead, turn left again into Stabelstraße. Next street to the right is Maximilianstraße.
By public transport
From Karlsruhe central station, take tramline 6 towards Daxlanden / Rappenwört. Get off the tram at its Schillerstraße stop and walk back on Kaiserallee towards Mühlburger Tor. After 150 metres, turn left into Kochstraße. After another 300 metres, turn right into Weberstraße, then right again into Maximilianstraße.
Alternatively, you can take tramline 4 from Karlsruhe central station, change at Europaplatz onto tram 3 and get off at the Kunstakademie / Hochschule stop in Riefstahlstraße. Turn left into Moltkestraße and left again into Stabelstraße. Next road to the right is Maximilianstraße.
